Our incredible volunteers are an essential part of keeping things running. Some volunteers offer a few hours of their time per year at specific events, while others work several hours a week year-round. All volunteers are required to have their Criminal Record Check with Vunerable sector (CRC) and Child Abuse Registry (CAR). They must also take two free courses at thelocker.ca : Safe Sport (or Respect in Sport for Coaches) and Understanding The Rule of Two.
The CAR is free and obtained by following the process attached : https://novascotia.ca/coms/families/abuse/ChildAbuseRegister.html
The CRC is obtained through the RCMP.
